In 2010 Ryno received the South African Ambassodors Award at the South African Dance Championships for his dedication and loyalty in the Dancing Industry over the years and also for representing South Africa Internationally during his dancing career and always conducting himself as a true professional. Where most other top professional dancers have gone further in representing other countries internationally, Ryno kept his loyalty towards SA. He has danced in many WORLD Latin and Show Dance championships and has been involved in a number of charity events and workshops all over the country . The Signature of a true professional and Ambassodor for South Africa in the World of international dancing.

Usualy, sports people only receive An Ambassodors Award in the End of their competing careers and personaly, for me this came as an absolute surprise....

i would never have thought that i would ever receive such a prestitious award let alone at the SA dance Championships...

Of course i am not perfect and to say that this award was given to a perfect person would be outrageous...and of course, to even think that this award would or have added exstra pressure on me to be aware of how i conduct myself in future would be a Lie. Nothing has changed and i am just mysself. I would not change because of an award but i am for sure proud and very very happy for the reassons especially WHY it was handed to me...I have always represented SA with great pride and although not with much support and regotnition, it was never really about what i could get back from the SA dancing bodies...only for myself.

In the end, many dancers stop when they feel they not getting anything out, or bad results and then they become bitter, or the usual story called politics....for me...none of the above is the reason why i dance or why i would ever stop...
