Ryno Van Den Berg
* To Date, Ryno is the holder of 14 South African National Dance titles.
* Ryno hails from Pretoria in South Africa.
* He is athletic and slim build with a weight of 79kg and his height is 1.82 tall
* Born in Sasolburg.
* After he matriculated, he completed his military service in the South African Air Force (Pretoria-Valhalla).
* He started dancing at the age of 23.
* An entertainer of note. He has, besides his dancing established himself not only as a public speaker at corporate events but has the ideal and most relaxed, charming and absolute skills of working with people.
* He is Fellowship Latin American International style Qualified. He has his Associates Qualification in International Ballroom. He is Completely Trained and well experienced in American Rhythm , American Smooth, International Ballroom and International Latin .
* Member of the WDC and SADF.
* Ryno is also an International adjudicator, international Renown choreographer and above all… a team building specialist.
* He started his dancing career teaching at a social school called “Dance Well Studio” and spend a total of 3 years teaching Social Dancing (American Style) after which he moved to Fred Astaire, teaching for another 3 years in the Fred Astaire and Social Industry. It`s only at this point where International Dancing was introduced to him. During these years, Ryno was performing in Pro Am shows and competitions with his students. He held the position of "Front end Manager" at Fred Astaire. His task and primary responsibility was to see that staff members were fully trained in order to impress students, teach good lessons, had the necessary skills and people relations to sigh expensive contracts with these students.
* After much success, he later opened his own studio, Passion for Dance.
* Currently living in the US – LA and partly in South Africa .
* He has a South African passport…his B2 tourists visa expire in 2024 April

* Ryno was/is the sole owner and organizer of the Independent South African Dance Congress in 2004 – 2005 – 2007 and 2012
* He contributed as a professional towards the development of dancing for charity in Zimbabwe (Harare & Bulawayo ) in 1997 and also in 2002. Teaching, Cabaret Shows and Workshops.
* Received his National PROTEA/SPRINGBOK Colours for Dancing in 1998 and from then on, every year until 2013
* Received the MOST PRESTIGOUS AWARD ...AN AMBASSODORS AWARD for his loyalty and dedication to Dance Sport in 2011.
* WON the South African Nation television program “The Summit” Series in 2001 and earned the status of a National Celebrity on National TV
* Has been invited on 3 occasions by the President of the Russian Dance Union Mr Stanislav Popov to competed in the World Renown "KREMLIN CUP" in Moscow-Russia in 2005/2006/ and 2010.
* He has competed in 12 WORLD Dance Championships (Latin American Professional in :
Sun City/South Africa 1998, Halle/Germany 1997, Cannes/France 2005, Moscow/Russia 2007, Bonn/Germany 2010, Innsbruck/Austria 2012, Irvine/USA 2013.
* In South American Show Dance in : Lignano - Sabiodoro/Italy 2005, Moscow/Russia 2006, Miami/USA 2000, Scheviningen/Holland 2007, and Tampa Bay/USA 2013.
* He studied dancing and lived for 8 months in London in 2000
* He also studied dancing and lived in New York and California for 6 months in 2013
* Ryno was a member of the South African Sponsored team “RAMA” in 1998 as World representatives and performed various Workshops, shows and appearances over South Africa for 7 months teaching Under privileage Children in poor areas and appeared on National TV on various programs such as, TOP BILLING, KYK NET and Mabaleng TV and also in Blackpool-UK.
* He is the only dancer in the history of South Africa to have WON the Latin American title with 3 foreign girls in a row. (2 Russians and 1 Austrian) and he is also holding the title for the most titles as a professional – 12 National titles.
And 14 together unofficially.

* As a Well known Choreographer, he also Choreographed 3 Pageant competitions in past years. Ramp work included with dance shows for all contestants. : The Miss Warmbad Forever Resorts in 2006 ; Miss Pretoria show in 2007 and Mr SOUTH AFRICA show at Carnival City in 2009.
* As a Public Speaker in his part time, he had appeared in various performances such as Studio events, competitions, social events and most recent, as guest speaker at the Newcastle Senior primary school in KwaZulu Natal – SA in 2013 November
