Taking 1st places at competitions and representing your country in WORLD championships events along with having the best dresses and best coaches to coach you will only become a dream and remain as a dream for as long as you do not have a business plan in place, a sponsor or even some sort of a structure to manage your partnership professionally....
many couples who reach the top have sponsors, financial structures and a very well thought through bussiness plan...
During my years of competing, and even still now...the work and hours i have put into my dancing OFF the floor has to take the MAIN credit for my success with my dance partners. Practising for hours and days and weeks and YEARS non stop is not going to bring you any success whatsoever if the Financial Plan in not in place...
for Dancing Couples to reach the top ( or at least close to the top) you would need to:
1) have regular lessons with top international coaches
2) dance the Main dancing Circuit regularly
3) dance all the BIG competitions
4) Dance cabaret shows for exstra show mens ship expereince
5)build a very expensive and professional IMAGE (look) with coaches and judges world wide ... this image will determine how people will look at you and how seriuos coaches etc will take you...
6)have the Best and Impressive Dancing outfits when stepping onto a floor.
7) make yourself seen, noticed and known as much as possible
8)At least become the National Champion in your catogory for your Country...
Now..ALL the above, costs money...lots and lots of money. Marketing is the absolute KEY to the above...
1) To find a Sponsor would help you the most and the fastest. Sponsorships is and has been the main element to our success
2) find regular shows to help regular moneys coming in
3) Have constant fundraisers to help getting donations in , but for this to work...you need to have a stable and secure partnership so that people can invest in you and have trust that the couple will stick together and will walk a journey together for at least a couple of years...
4) trust and respect. people do not invest into anything if they have doubt... be reliable , professional and of course,... respectfull
5) always advertise and market yourself...
